School Meals
School meals are provided by Olive Dining. They offer a bespoke service entirely dedicated to the education sector. They are committed to providing healthy and delicious meals, serving both primary and secondary schools around the South East of London. Their menus are full of variety and flavours to cater for everyone’s taste and dietary requirements.
This year (2026- 27), lunches for all children in KS1 and KS2 are free, under the London Mayor’s Free School Meal initiative.
Benefits related Free School Meals
Your child can get free school meals if your combined annual household income is below £16,190 (as assessed by HMRC) and you get one of the following benefits:
Universal Credit: From September 2026, all families on Universal Credit qualify, regardless of household income (split into targeted earnings under £7,400 and expanded categories).
Income Support
Income-based Jobseeker's Allowance
Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
Guaranteed element of Pension Credit
Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
Child Tax Credit (if you do not get Working Tax Credit and your annual income is under £16,190)
Working Tax Credit run-on (paid for 4 weeks after stopping work
