School Journey - JCA Croft Farm
Birch Class had a wonderful time during their week at Croft Farm in Gloucestershire. They completed a wide variety of activities including raft building, abseiling and katakanuing. We hope they all had a good rest over the weekend!
PE (Dance)
In PE, we have started to explore the themes of Crime and Punishment, to compliment our History topic for this half term. We played with giving different groups of dancers different rules for the same routines, and explored the definitions of distributive and restorative justice.
Science: Light
The children discovered the role voltage plays in the efficacy of different electrical components in different circuits, and how this is affected by the number of components or cells.
Science: Electricity
Birch Class investigated how light travels from light sources into the eyes, so that we can see. We discovered that it reflects from most opaque objects, though some materials are more reflective than others, and always travels in straight lines.
Programming in Scratch!
Birch class have been using their programming skills to create some complex caterpillar games.
