The purpose of the School Council is to give children a voice and encourage them to get involved in issues that concern them in school and within their local community.
They are also actively involved in supporting global causes through raising awareness and funds.
Two School Council members are elected from each class and will meet every two weeks to reflect the views of their peers and take responsibility for following ideas through.
The success of the School Council will rely on building strong communication links between school staff, parents and carers, and school governors, so get involved!
School Council updates will be published in the School’s weekly newsletters as well as on DB Primary (on the School Council page).
