The Parent Teacher Association exists to promote positive relationships between staff, parents and the school community and to support the aims of the school by raising money for additional facilities which do not come from government funding. For example, the recent redevelopment of the playground was partly paid for by money raised by the PTA, and we are currently fundraising for further improvements. Every parent is automatically a member of the PTA, and we are always grateful for suggestions and support from everyone. Each class has at least one parent representative, who will pass on questions and comments, and all parents are welcome to attend meetings. The PTA meets regularly, and we try to have a couple of social evenings a term, where anyone interested in finding out more can meet informally over a drink. Fundraising activities planned for this year include a balloon race, new organic fruit and vegetable service (bags will be available for pick-up after school on Mondays), coffee mornings, cake sales, a Christmas Ball and a Pamper Evening. We hope that many of our fundraising events are also an opportunity to enjoy socialising with other members of the school community. www.buy.at/Hornimanschool PTA News 16th November 2007 PTA NEWS 30th November 2007 PTA News - 18th December 2007 PTA News 11th January 2008 PTA News - 25th January 2008 PTA News - 29th February 08 PTA News - 7th March 2008 PTA News - 14th March 2008 PTA News - 20th March 2008 PTA News - 28th March 2008 PTA News - 24th April 2008 PTA News - 2nd May 2008 PTA News 6th June 2008 PTA News - 20th June 2008 PTA News - 27th June 2008 | |||||||||||||||||||
